    • ENGAGE AUTOPILOT SYNC MODE
    • PITCH DOWN TO ACHIEVE A 2000 FPM DESCENT
    • DISENGAGE AUTOPILOT SYNC MODE
  • V/S mode
    • ENGAGE
  • Speed
    • MAINTAIN 250 KIAS
      • If airspeed too high, use airbrakes to slow down
  • PTU
    • SWITCH ON
  • Cabin altitude
    • SET TO LANDING ELEVATION
  • Speed card
    • CHECK APPROACH & LANDING SPEEDS
  • Airspeed bugs
    • SET
      • Large yellow bug to VREF
      • Small yellow bug to VREF+5
      • Red bug to VFTO
      • White bug to VER
      • Alternatively, wait until landing flap selected and then click the flipchart to set automatically

  • APU
    • START
    • Monitor RPM (increase) & TGT (increase, peak, decrease)
    • Check APU PWR AVAIL annunciator lit
  • Speed
    • REDUCE
      • Maximum 200 KIAS for localiser intercept is a good rule of thumb
      • Use thrust levers and airbrakes as required
  • Autopilot
    • AS REQUIRED
      • Lateral mode HDG, V/L or L NAV
      • Vertical mode VS or IAS
      • For ILS approaches, once on ILS intercept course, engage V/L & GSL
